Soft Rocks are four-piece Brighton collective who have set the music and club-land scenes ablaze with their edits, productions and DJ sets. As well as producing and DJing, they’re heavy-duty record collectors who have gained a reputation for discovering many lost classics. Their sets embrace a variety of styles from rock, house, Afro, boogie, disco, cosmic, Balearic, and Italo – if it’s heavyweight music you want– Soft Rocks are out their on their own.
They have releases and remixes on Eskimo, Lo Recordings, Redux and their own myriad of Soft Rocks imprints. Their remix for the mighty MGMT saw Radio 1 airplay and other remixes for the likes of Chris Coco / PBR Streetgang / Issa Babagayo / CRUE-L's Disco Session Outfit in Japan and Black Pepper in Italy (to name just a few) have all gone down well.
Soft Rocks have dj'ed at places as diverse as Milan Fashion Week, Big Chill Festival, Bestival, Camp Bestival, Rockness , Bloom Festival, ,Isle Of Wight Festival, Bad Passion, Horsemeat Disco, Space Go!Zilla, Love To Fly, ASBO, Space In Ibiza and many more....Finally a few more people seem to be picking up the hint that they don't just play downtempo weird nonsense and tail feathers have been seen a shakin' to their heady mix of disco, house, boogie, leftfield jams, reggae and other oddities.
They have appeared in issues of ID Magazine and Vogue (!?), with coverage in Metro too, as they are being touted as leaders of the leftfield Disco scene and time has seen these boys go from strength to strength |
